Chorus
4th and 5th grade vocal ensemble. This group meets Tuesday mornings, and we focus on learning vocal techniques, harmonies, and seasonal songs, and performance etiquette throughout the school year.
Orff 'n' Drum
This is a percussion based group of 4th and 5th grade that meets on Thursday mornings. Orff 'n' Drum members have the opportunity to expand their musical knowledge beyond what is learned in the classroom. This group learns advanced rhythms and chord structures on a variety of instruments. They learn practice techniques that will aid them performing confidently in solo, small group and large ensemble musical performances throughout the year.
Backstage and Tech Crew
Backstage crew is a small group of 5th grade students who enjoy being a part of the musical team, but prefer to support our groups behind the scenes! This group meets once a week, and assists Mrs. Keller in rehearsal set up and tear down. They are responsible for learning how to take care of the instruments and musical equipment, so that our performing students are set up for success. Tech crew is a sub group, within backstage crew that have gone above and beyond to learn audio equipment, and video equipment to support performances throughout the year. This added support gives not only our performers, but our audience a much higher level experience!
